The Parchamo peak rises impressively as a trekking peak above from an adventurous high pass of Nepal Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755MASL). Rolwaling Parchamo Peak Climbing is a combination of less beaten Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek with Parchamo Peak Climbing Adventure.

 

Officially regulated day to day itinerary of 19 days Rolwaling Parchamo Peak Climbing adventure package trip with Adventure Mountain Treks Pvt. Ltd begins after spending a day in the capital city Kathmandu with a day guided sightseeing tour around world heritage sites of UNESCO, preparation of essential equipment checklists & to get permitted for Rolwaling Parchamo Peak Climbing.

 

Rolwaling Parchamo Peak Climbing Overview

Firstly, we will have a full day scenic drive through green hills to reach the exact starting point of the trek. We begin our journey with several uphill and downhill through the forest. After then, we cross many suspension bridges all the way to the Sherpa village of Simigaun, a junction point of Rolwaling Khola called Dovan, and to another two Sherpa settlement villages of Bedding and Na, which follows the continuous views of Mt. Gaurishanka ranges.

 

We will make a safe acclimatization day at Na village before ascending to high altitudes at Rolwaling Valley. We can make an exploration day worthwhile by making the hike up to Yalung Peak Base Camp. Continue our journey gradually with more wildernesses towards Tsho Rolpa Lake, Drolambu Glacier, and to Tashi Lapcha Camp via Tashi Lapcha La Pass at 5,755m. Tashi Lapcha Camp itself is a base camp of Rolwaling Parchamo Peak.

 

From Parchamo Peak Base Camp we start a steep climb towards the summit through snow slopes, few crevasses, and technical sections. Once we reach the top, the views of the world’s admirable mountains such as Cho-Oyu, Amadablam, Thamserku, Kusum Kanguru, and many more snow-capped peaks will reward us.

Furthermore:

After having a short and extraordinary time at the top, we safely retrace our steeps via the same descends to Tashi Lapcha Camp and follow a rather easy trail to Lukla via Namche Bazaar with a wonderful adventure experience of Rolwaling Parchamo Peak Climbing.

 

Once our trail merges into the main trails of Everest Trekking, we can also expand our holiday duration up to Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Gokyo, Chola Pass, Renjo La Pass, etc.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu(1,400m/4,592ft) and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Guided tour to Kathmandu’s World Heritage sites.

Breakfast Hotel/Resort

Spend the day on the guided tour to Kathmandu. Kathmandu is the social and historical heart of Nepal. Visit its world’s heritage sites like Bauddhanath, the Tibetan Buddhist landmark, and Pashupatinath. Also, visit other world heritage sites- Swayambhunath, Patan Krishna Temple, and Durbar Square. Additionally, meander through city bazaar to purchase some customary items of Nepal.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Jiri Charikot then to Gongar Khola (1,350m/4,428ft).

Early morning, our tour guide will pick you up and we will take a drive towards Gongar Khola en route Jiri Charikot. While traveling, we will enjoy wonderful slopes, scenes and regular lifestyle of nearby people. Head ahead through significant fascination places Charikot and Jiri. We land at Gongar Khola.

Day 04: Trek from Gongor Khola to Simigaun (2,000m/6,560ft).

4-5 Hrs walk Full Board Tea House

Today we begin our trek through the ordinary way by following the river bank to reach Simigaun. It is the initial stage of our Rolwaling Trek. On crossing a suspension bridge, we begin the climbing trail that leads us to achieve Simigaun. Simigaun is a pleasant Sherpa village. In evening we can spend the free time in wandering around the village.

Day 05: Trek from Simigaun to Dovan (2,850m/9,348ft).

5-6 Hrs. walk Full Board Tea House

From Simigaun, we will take the trail that goes through another Sherpa towns. With radiant perspectives of Gaurishankar over the Rolwaling Valley, we will keep going on the trail through a wonderful pine timberland before ascending on to a rough ridge. A slow trail down from the top part of the ridge will take us to Rolwaling Khola. Then descend to reach Dovan.

Day 06: Trek from Dovan to Beding (3,690m/12,103ft).

5-6 Hrs. walk Full Board Tea House

Trek forward via the bank of Rolwaling river. We will walk through wonderful pine and rhododendron forests. Also, appreciate the considerable perspective of Mt. Gaurushankar Himalayan range en route. After crossing the suspension bridge, the trail takes us through plane climbs for some time. Reach sherpa town, Beding.

Day 07: Beding to Na Village (4,180m/13,710ft).

3-4 Hrs. walk Full Board Tea House

Today is a day for short and simple trekking. We will make a simple inclination through fir trees. When the valley becomes flatter and broader, we proceed with our trek to achieve Na Village. There are a lot of camping activities available here.

Day 08: Acclimatization day & local excursion of Na Village.

Full Board Tea House

Spend this day to get acclimatized before heading towards high elevations. Also, you can send free time as an outing day at Na village. While filling our heart with joy we either can climb towards Kharka situated at the top of the valley or take the trail to Yalung Peak Base camp which is five hours return. Or on the other hand, we can climb towards the Ridge of Tsho Rolpa Glacier Lake for the panoramas of unbelievable mountains, it is around four hours return trip.

Day 09: Trek from Na Village to Tsho Rolpa Lake (4,560m/14,956ft).

4-5 Hrs. walk Full Board Tented Camps

Today we will begin our trek by ascending a pitch to an extension over the Tsho Rolpa surge. We will go on the main trail that climbs an ablation valley toward the south. Then, we will go through Chhukyima where we can make a stop at the tea shops controlled by locals of Na Village.
Proceeding on our trail, we will head towards the end of the valley and ascend a precarious uphill. Here you can enjoy a grand perspective of the surrounding peaks and lake. A slow rise from that point takes us to Kabuk.

Day 10: Trek from Tsho Rolpa to Drolambu Glacier (4,880m/16,006ft).

5-6 Hrs. walk Full Board Tented Camps

We begin early today as our trail leads through the intersection of the glacier which is best to trek before the sun melts down the snow. We will cross the plateau to the further eastern corner above the glacier. After then trail down to a loose earth route to the southern edge of Trakarding Glacier. Further, the route ascends to achieve the northern side of the glacier. At last, we will take the trail that takes us to the point of Drolambu Glacier.

Day 11: Cross Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755m/18,876ft) & Trek to Tashi Cape.

6-7 Hrs. walk Full Board Tented Camps

This is our essential day of trekking as we will cross one of the adventurous and troublesome Tashi Laocha La Pass. Early morning, we will trail over the glacier then climb a slope that heads towards the pass. The pass is rocky and topped with ice and snow. At the highest point of the pass, we can have wonderful close-up perspectives of encompassing mountains. Later, we will steadily slide down to our Tashi Lapcha Camp.

Day 12: Acclimatization day at Tashi Cape.

Acclimatization is crucial for guaranteeing the successful Parchamo Peak summit trek. Also, today we will spend our day making vital arrangements for the climb ahead

Day 13: Climb: Parchamo Peak summit (6,187m/20,300ft) & return to Ngole (5,110m/16,760ft).

8-9 Hrs. ascend/descend Full Board Tented Camps

Today we will start early morning to achieve the summit- our main goal of the trek. We will trail northeast above the scree underneath the Tengi Ragi Tau rock wall. Our accomplished climbing specialists will help you to successfully climb the snow slopes on the ridge. Today we will master a few technical segments prior to trekking towards the summit.
We are gifted with superb perspectives of Cho Oyu, Amadablam, Kusum Kangaru, Thamserku, and other encompassing mountains on reaching the summit. Spend some lovely moments around the stunning scenes at the top. Then we will proceed down to return at Ngole.

Day 14: Trek from Ngole to Thyangbo Kharka (4,320m/14,169ft).

5-6 Hrs. walk Full Board Tented Camps

We will take the route that trails down from the rough inclines of Ngole. We will keep on descending enthusiastically down to achieve Thyangbo Kharka.

Day 15: Trek from Tyangbo Kharka to Namche Bazaar (3,450m/11,316ft).

5-6 Hrs. walk Full Board Tea House

We will follow the simple and wonderful route towards Thame. Reach Thame in few hours. Later, we will stroll along Bhote Koshi River, then delicate drop towards Phuki Tenga and proceed with the trail to traverse Dudh Koshi River. On the way, we will pass a few villages. Land at Namche Bazaar- the Sherpa capital. Namche Bazaar is the biggest bazaar in Everest locale.

Day 16: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft).

5-6 Hrs. walk Full Board Tea House

This is the last day of our trek. Start the trail from Namche Bazaar to reach Lukla. From Namche, we drop down through thick woods loaded with oak, rhododendron, and pine trees. With some short uphill ascensions and after that descend to the Bhote Koshi River, which we have to cross three times. At last, an uphill trek will take us to Lukla.

Day 17: Flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla Airport.

Early morning, we will board the Lukla Kathmandu flight. Our tour representative will transfer you to hotel or resort in Kathmandu. Rest day at rest.

Day 18: Free day.

Breakfast & Farewell Dinner Hotel/Resort

Day 19: Final departure. Drop to airport as per flight schedule.

After breakfast transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport. Return to home cherishing the memories of your adventure.

What about altitude Sickness ?

Normally, within 12-24 hours after ascending a certain height (1,500 to 2,500 meter above sea level) altitude sickness symptoms like fatigue, loss of appetite, dizziness, sleep problems, shortness of breath, and loss of energy can be seen. In case of any altitude sickness symptoms we will apply medication and descend immediately for acclimatization. Measures for treating Acute Sickness:

  • You should stop and rest where you are for at least 24 to 48 hours
  • If you feel sick, take an anti-sickness medicine, such as promethazine/diamox
  • Make sure you're drinking adequate amount of water
  • Smoking, Drinking alcohol, or Exercise will make it worse
