In fact, Hindus, Jains, Buddhists, and Tibetan people often visit the holy peak of Mount Kailash and the famous Mansarovar Lake, as they believe visiting the places is the best means to achieve Punya (good merits) and gain Mokshya (ultimate Salvation).   • Tour lets you reach Mount Kailash, recognized as the Precious
    Jewels of Snow among people of Tibet. The mountain is at the height of
    6714 meters from the level of the sea in the autonomous Tibetan region
    from China. In addition, Mount Kailash constitutes the originating point
    of four prominent Asian rivers named The Ganges, The Brahmaputra, The
    Sutlej, and The Indus.
  • Secondly, during your tour, you will be able to view Mansarovar
    Lake. According to the Sanskrit language, Manas implies consciousness or
    mind, while Sarovar implies Lake. Buddhist believed that Lord Buddha
    meditated across the Lake to obtain enlightenment.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft) and transfer to Hotel.

Adventure Mountain Nepal Trekking and Climbing’s airport arrival and departure representative will meet you at the airport as per your arrival schedule. He/she welcome you and drive to the hotel. Check-in hotel and take a rest or relaxation time at Hotel. Then you can have a free excursion to know the surroundings and visit our office to get brief information of tour

Day 02: Drive to Nyalam for 150 km in 6 to 7 hours and Overnight Stay in the Guest House.

We will start with car driving from Kathmandu to reach at Nyalam located at about 3,700 meters. Here, you will be able to view nature’s beauty everywhere you go. Later on, we will take an overnight stay in the Nyalam’s guest house.

Day 03: Drive to Tingri at 4330 meters.

Today, we will drive to reach at Tingri. During the tour, we will be able to get pleasant views of Shishapangma Himalayas and desert plains found in the Tibetan plateau. Even the tour gives us to get the initial view of Mount Everest.

Day 04: Visit to highest monastery worldwide i.e. Rongbuk.

Our team will take you to the highest monastery worldwide i.e. Rongbuk and later on to the guest house for rest and acclimatization. On this day, you will be able to view valleys of Cho-Oyu and Mount Everest.

Day 05: Everest Base Camp Visit at 5250 meters and drive to Sakya Monastery.

For today morning, we will drive for 8 hours from Ronbuk Monastery to reach at the Everest Base Camp. Later on, by experiencing a short hiking, we will drive back to Sakya and look at its famous monastery.

Day 06: Drive to Saga.

Our team will drive for 346 kilometers and approximately 7 hours to reach Saga, recognized as the entry point of the famous Kailash Mansarovar and the famous Guge Kingdom.

Day 07: Drive to Lake Mansarovar.

We will drive for 4 to 5 hours to reach at Mansarovar to get the first view of both the lake and Holy Mountain Kailash during the afternoon. Holy Mansarovar at about 14950 feet constitutes the highest freshwater lake and acts as a home to swans and fish. On the other side, Holy Mountain Kailash, Mount Gurula Mandala, and another lake named Rakshash lie nearby its surroundings.

Day 08: Drive to Tarchen (40km and to Tarboche (13km).

Today we will move to Tarchen or Darchen by driving about 40 kilometers in an hour. Tarchen acts as the base camp for the renowned Holy Kailash Parikrama. Furthermore, you should start driving to the famous Tarboche valley, recognized as the beginning spot of Kailash Parikrama and the outer Asthapath. During your entire trek today, you will get the feeling about the presence of Lord Shiva everywhere and obtain views of the face of the Holy Mount Kailash.

Day 09: Trek via Dolma-La Pass at 5613 meters to Zuthulpuk at 4760 meters.

Today, you will be able to trek via Dolma Pass located at about 5613 meters for about 9 to 10 hours. Later on, your steps will move down to reach Zuthulpuk located at 4760 meters, while on your way, you will be able to view Gauri Kunda and Parvati-Stal

Day 10: Drive to Manasarovar from Darchen and return to Saga.

We will start walking for 10km from Darchen for about to reach the Mansarovar Lake. Here, you will be able to explore last views of the entire trip i.e. Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar views. After this, we will return to Saga.

Day 11: Saga to Nyalam and finally to Kathmandu.

We will follow the same route to reach back at Nyalam and finally, take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu.

How hard is Mt. Kailash Mansarovar Tour via EBC ?

Mt. Kailash Mansarovar Tour via EBC is considered as a moderate trek. There are numerous challenges like the rugged terrain, steep slopes, trekking route through stone stairs and continuous walk of 5 to 6 hours per day. That being said, Kailsh Mansarovar Tour via EBC can be done by travelers who are physically and physiologically fit.

 

What is the best time for trekking Tibet ?

The prime time for trekking Tibet is during Spring(March, April and May) and Autumn (October and November). During these seasons the weather will be clear, flowers will bloom on the way, the charm of the atmosphere can be felt by the heart, magnificent views of the Himalayas can be seen and mostly you can explore the wilderness of Tibet freely.

 

What about altitude Sickness ?

Normally, Within 12-24 hours after ascending a certain height(1,500 to 2,500 meter above sea level) altitude sickness symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite, sleep problems, loss of energy, and shortness of breath are seen. In case of any altitude sickness symptoms we will apply medication and descend immediately for acclimatization.

   

Can you go to Tibet without a visa ?

Flying to Tibet directly from international aircraft is not possible. There are two ways to enter the land of Tibet either from Nepal or China. Hence, to visit Tibet we need a special trekking permit for Tibet and Visa of Nepal or China. If you are traveling with us we will manage a Travel Permit to Tibet.

 

How about the weather and traveling seasons in Tibet ?

Tibet is an inland country and is extremely dry for 9 months of the year. It has continental climate usually with warm days and cool nights. Annual temperature variation is significant. Summers are warm and winters are cold. During Autumn and Spring seasons the temperature will be moderate and you will experience little rain which makes these seasons favorable to explore the wilderness of Tibet.

 

Do I need travel insurance to travel to Tibet ?

Yes!! It is recommended to have travel insurance during the trek. It is uncertain that you will not feel sick or get into any accidents during the trek. So, for medical emergencies or as precaution against risks and financial losses that could happen while traveling, insurance is best.

While traveling to Tibet you will get to taste a lot of Tibetan cuisine, Sichuan cuisine and western style dishes. Tibetan food is mostly made by using meat and less vegetables. If you are a meat lover then it is a great opportunity for you to explore different cuisines. Some of the famous foods are Yak Butter, Tibetan Mo:Mo, Tibetan Sausage, and Dry Meat.

 

Can we travel individually to Tibet ?

Due to restrictions put in place by the Chinese government in its provinces It is not allowed to travel to Tibet as an individual tourist.
