Everest Kangshung Face Trek: Mount Everest is a paradise for trekking lovers with some wonderful treks. The Kharta Valley and Everest Kangshung Face Trek are among one the most amazing treks that take you through the amazing pastures, and colorful meadows full of flowers.

The trekking starts from the Khatra and takes you to the top at the Everest Kangshung Face going through the beautiful Karma Valley. This amazing trek not only offers you a lot of thrill but also the majestic view of the peaks covered with snow including Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu. The trip also lets you explore the sacred land of Tibet.

    the city of Lhasa.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Our team of representatives greets you at the Kathmandu airport and arrange for the transfer to the hotel. The overnight stay at the hotel will help you refresh yourself.

Day 02: Kathmandu Tour.

On the next day, we take you to the Kathmandu tour where you get the chance to explore the culture of Nepal and shop at the markets. We also give you a brief introduction of the entire trip.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Lhasa.

From Kathmandu, we would leave for the flight to Lhasa early in the morning. We would transfer you to the hotel at Lhasa where you would be resting overnight.

Day 04: Lhasa Tour.

Before starting the trek we, we would spend a couple of days in Lhasa exploring some of the most amazing places in the city. On day one, we would be visiting Jokhang Temple and Drepung monastery.

Day 05: Lhasa Tour (continues…)

We further take you the remaining places in Lhasa including the popular Potala Palace and the Sera monastery.

Day 06: Lhasa to Gyantse, via Yamdork Lake.

We move to the next destination Gyantse, exploring the amazing Lake of Yamdork on the way. We would take an overnight stay at Gyantse.

Day 07: Gyantse to Shigatse.

We now move to another small but beautiful town of Shigatse after spending the night at Gyantse. Here we would visit places like Tashilungpo and Pelkor Chode.

Day 08: Shigatse to Shegar.

On the next day, we travel from Shigatse to Shegar.

Day 09: Drive to Kharta valley.

Now the real thrill starts as we drive to the beautiful Kharta valley and stay at the camp.

Day 10: Trek to Dhampu.

On the first day of trekking, we move to the Dhampu.

Day 11: Dhampu to Shao La.

We continue to trek from Dhampu to Shao La.

Day 12: Shao La to Joksam.

Trekking continues from Shao La to Joksam.

Day 13: Joksam to Alpine Camp.

From Joksam, we eventually arrive to the intermediate camp of Alpine..

Day 14: Alpine Camp to Pathang.

We continue to trek further from the Apline camp to Pathang.

Day 15: Pathang to Hoppo.

Trekking further we reach Hoppo.

Day 16: Kangshung Base Camp.

Continue enjoying the trekking further and reach Kangshung Base camp and then return back to Pathang.

Day 17: Pathang to Langma.

We continue to trek from Pathang to Langma.

Day 18: Trekking to Langma (continues..)

It is a long trek and takes another day to reach Langma.

Day 19: Cross Langma la.

Trekking our way back we cross Langma la pass.

Day 20: Trek to Yuba.

We finally end the amazing trekking experience at Yuba.

Day 21: Drive to Rongphu Monastery.

After an overnight stay at Yuba, we take you to visit the beautiful Rongphu Monastery.

Day 22: Drive to Zhangmu.

From the monastery, we travel straight to Zhangmu. We arrange for the transfer to hotel where you stay overnight.

Day 23: Drive to Kathmandu.

On the next morning, we leave for Kathmandu.

Day 24: Kathmandu trip.

We end the trip on the high taking you to the memorable trip of Kathmandu city.

Day 20: Trip ends / airport transportation.

We arrange for the transfer to airport according to the time of your flight.

What is the best time for trekking Tibet ?

The prime time for trekking Tibet is during Spring(March, April and May) and Autumn (October and November). During these seasons the weather will be clear, flowers will bloom on the way, the charm of the atmosphere can be felt by the heart, magnificent views of the Himalayas can be seen and mostly you can explore the wilderness of Tibet freely.

 

What about altitude Sickness ?

Normally, Within 12-24 hours after ascending a certain height(1,500 to 2,500 meter above sea level) altitude sickness symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite, sleep problems, loss of energy, and shortness of breath are seen. In case of any altitude sickness symptoms we will apply medication and descend immediately for acclimatization.

   

Can you go to Tibet without a visa ?

Flying to Tibet directly from international aircraft is not possible. There are two ways to enter the land of Tibet either from Nepal or China. Hence, to visit Tibet we need a special trekking permit for Tibet and Visa of Nepal or China. If you are traveling with us we will manage a Travel Permit to Tibet.

 

How about the weather and traveling seasons in Tibet ?

Tibet is an inland country and is extremely dry for 9 months of the year. It has continental climate usually with warm days and cool nights. Annual temperature variation is significant. Summers are warm and winters are cold. During Autumn and Spring seasons the temperature will be moderate and you will experience little rain which makes these seasons favorable to explore the wilderness of Tibet.

 

Do I need travel insurance to travel to Tibet ?

Yes!! It is recommended to have travel insurance during the trek. It is uncertain that you will not feel sick or get into any accidents during the trek. So, for medical emergencies or as precaution against risks and financial losses that could happen while traveling, insurance is best.

What is the food like ?

While traveling to Tibet you will get to taste a lot of Tibetan cuisine, Sichuan cuisine and western style dishes. Tibetan food is mostly made by using meat and less vegetables. If you are a meat lover then it is a great opportunity for you to explore different cuisines. Some of the famous foods are Yak Butter, Tibetan Mo:Mo, Tibetan Sausage, and Dry Meat.

 

Can we travel individually to Tibet ?

Due to restrictions put in place by the Chinese government in its provinces It is not allowed to travel to Tibet as an individual tourist.
