Introduction

Peak climbing is always a Herculean task. Chulu Far East Peak is most demanding moderate kind of climb among all three Chulu peaks that take towards the altitude above 6,000 meters. This peak was first ascended at 1995 by German expedition team; since then many travellers has made a successful climb. This route provides the privilege to cross the highest mountain pass of the world- Thorang La pass and comprises of every aspects contributing the utmost adventure too. Every climbing is considered physically and mentally demanding at all times. Nevertheless, the travellers are assisted by the sherpas, potters and many years experienced mountaineer. In addition to this, trekkers and climbers are accompanied with other travellers all the way long.
Drive towards Kathmandu to Chame crossing scenic view of water bridges and waterfalls and farmlands and begin a trek towards Pisang, the upper portion of Manang making a walk through the bank of Marsyangdi River, the charming blue pine forest and numbers of suspension bridges. Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01:Arrive at Kathmandu (1345m/4411ft) & transfer to Hotel.

Upon your arrival at the airport (KTM), you'll be greeted by our friendly representative from our office. After completing immigration formalities ( obtain Visa if you've got not obtained one in your home country ) and claiming your luggage you proceed to arrival platform and appearance for our representative together . You'll be then transferred to your hotel. You'll either take a rest, attempt to adjust within the new environment and city or visit our office. It all depends upon your interest. Overnight within the Hotel.

Day 02:Sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Today after breakfast, we start a guided tour to many historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. All of those sites in Kathmandu are listed in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Our tour includes the places like historic and artistic Royal palace complex ( referred to as Durbar Square) of 12th - 18th century, sacred Hindu temple Pashupatinath, famous Buddhist shrine within the valley Swoyambhunath and Boudhanath.
After the tour return to the Hotel and ask trek guide and other staff about the trek preparation. If you need to shop for anything ( trek gears or others ) for the trek buy such in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Chame (2713m/8898ft) (9-10 hrs drive).

You will have a full day drive from Kathmandu to Chame which is at 1410 m height via Beshishar that is 823 m in height. We will provide you with a tea house accommodation which includes full board meals with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 04: Trek from Chame to Pisang (3185m/10446ft) (5-6 hrs trek).

From Chame you will trek to Pisang which is at the height of about 3185 m and needs 5 to 6 hrs walk. Your accommodation will be Tea house where you will enjoy the full board meal.

Day 05: Trek from Pisang to Humde Village (3330m/10922ft) (3 - 4 hrs trek).

After having breakfast within the morning the trip commences towards Humde village. As you commence the short trek today you'll see within the distance the sole airport on the side of the trail. After reaching Humde, you'll find the Manang airstrip and a couple of houses and lodges during a small opened up settlement. one among the longest prayer wheels within the region, consisting of 266 wheels, runs through the middle of this village. Day 06: Trek from Humde to Julu Khola (3500m/11480ft) (3 - 4 hrs trek).

Day 07:Acclimatization Day at Julu Khola.

This will be the day for correct acclimatisation . Today we'll engage on hiking activities within the surrounding areas. Hence, following through a forested trail along the river we hike up to Julu Peak Base Camp. The summit of the bottom camp rewards us most the views of Annapurna Himalaya range including the sight of Pisang Peak. After enjoying Annapurna Valley Himalayan views, we'll retrace back to Julu Khola. Camping Overnight at Julu Khola.

Day 08:Trek from Julu Khola to Chulu Far East Base Camp (5000m/16400ft) (5 - 6 hrs trek).

Today, we'll follow a steeply climbing trail to succeed at Chulu Far East Base Camp. The climbing trail sometimes crosses rocks also. During the trek, our journey is going to be accompanied by Annapurna Valley Himalayan views. Camping Overnight at Base Camp.

Day 09:Acclimatization Day at Chulu Far East Base Camp.

It will be another acclimatization day for us at a high altitude. Today, we involve on peak climbing training with our guides. Besides practicing peak climbing, we also hike to nearest glacier on the bottom camp. In over all, of these kinds of activities allow us to to organize and arrange our trekking gear at the one hand and on the opposite side it'll boost our confidence to overcome the upcoming peak. Day 10:Trek from Base Camp to Chulu Far East High Camp (5500m/18040ft) (3 - 4 hrs trek).

Today we follow a steep climbing trail through snow slopes. As we continue climbing, we will see amazing vistas of Annapurna Valley Himalayas including the views of Chulu East, Chulu West, and therefore the Chulu Far East . To the foremost , the trip today offers you the crystal clear views of Pisang Peak. After reaching at today’s overnight site, we'll set the High Camp on a rocky platform near alittle lake. Day 11: Summit Chulu Far East Peak (6059m/19874ft) & descend to Base Camp (8 - 9 hrs).

The peak climbing trip today brings us to the fantastic point of this adventure within the Himalayas as we conquer the highest of Chulu Far East . Hence, today we'll begin the height climbing trip around 2 – 3AM within the dark morning. Initially, we'll follow A level trail. subsequent section of the trail gradually becomes steeper and even crosses rocks within the mountain tracks. Day 12:Trek from Chulu Far East Base Camp to Manang (3551m/11647ft) (5 - 6 hrs trek).

This section of the trail initially brings us at Julu Khola from where we follow A level trail along the forests to succeed in at Manang - a gorgeous village slightly below the Thorong La Pass situated within the Annapurna conservation area. Gurung, Ghale, and Lamas are the inhabitants of this Trans-Himalayan village. Overnight at Manang.

Day 13: Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft) (3-4 yrs walk).

From Manang, we head out through the western gates and follow the trail right down to the river. Keeping the mesmerizing views of the Himalayas chain, we will again continue the descending trail at some distance. The end of the descending trail paves the way forward a level trail to connect us with Yak Kharka. Tented Camp Overnight at Yak Kharka.

Day 14: Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600m/15,092ft) (3-4 hrs walk).

Breakfast at teahouse then start the trek to the foot of the pass Thorong Phedi which is small but busy settlement provides food and shelter to trekkers and climbers. This village is said as the base camp by trekkers and climber. Some climber trek up to high camp today but it is safe to stay here to have a sound sleep in lower altitude than risking sleeping in the higher altitude.

Day 15:Trek to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft) via Thorang La Pass (5,416m/17,764ft) (7-8 hrs walk).

Early morning Breakfast at a teahouse, start walking early within the morning at 4 A.M. we've to cross Thorong La pass, a highest and main attraction point during our trek within the morning, since if we become late to cross the pass, the snow are going to be melted by sunlight and overall weather goes worse. We spend a brief and crucial time at the pass with photographs of splendid scenery, then the trail starts following an extended descend all the thanks to Muktinath. Muktinath may be a famous temple of Hindu and Buddhist Goddess with massive religious significant offers a grand view of Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna, Katung and other snow-capped peaks.

Day 16:Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2,730m/8,954ft) (3-4 hrs walk).

Breakfast at teahouse then we visit famous pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhists Muktinath temple, Vishnu temple and Gompa. then we follow descends trail Jharkot. After there we follow continuous motor road all the thanks to Jomsom, thus it's also an choice to have a jeep drive from Muktinath to Jomsom. At evening explore around Jomsom Bazaar and luxuriate in the celebration on the occasion of complete Annapurna Circuit Trekking with AMN Trekking and Climbing Team.

Day 17: Fly to Pokhara. Sightseeing, boating or free for any other personal activities.

We take a morning flight to Pokhara from Jomsom. Once we reach at the beautiful lake city Pokhara, a full day feel free to have personal activities, know the surroundings, rest and relaxation, boating at Fewa Lake, etc.

Day 18:Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive/fly to Kathmandu. Remaining time is to feel free for leisure and personal activities such as Shopping, markets explore, spa, massage, rest and relax can be an option. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner together with an entire team of Adventure Mountain Nepal.

Day 19:Final departure. Drop to airport as per flight schedule.

Our airport arrival and departure representative will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport on your scheduled flight.

Generally for Climbing and Mountaineering we take up to 10 members in a group so that we can guide and coordinate each of them perfectly. If you have a group with more than ten members it’s fine with us. We provide some customizable features however if you are planning to climb solo it is not possible due to the restrictions made by Nepal Mountaineering Association(NMA).

What about Food and Accommodation Services ?

Due to the advancement of the trekking industry, we can find enough lodges and tea houses throughout trip routes. They offer good food and accommodation. There are different options you can choose according to your needs and budget. Also you should know that at high altitude and remote places the service will be limited.

Do I need to have Travel Insurance during Trip ?

What about altitude Sickness ?

Normally, within 12-24 hours after ascending a certain height (1,500 to 2,500 meter above sea level) altitude sickness symptoms like fatigue, loss of appetite, dizziness, sleep problems, shortness of breath, and loss of energy can be seen. In case of any altitude sickness symptoms we will apply medication and descend immediately for acclimatization. Measures for treating Acute Sickness:

  • You should stop and rest where you are for at least 24 to 48 hours
  • If you feel sick, take an anti-sickness medicine, such as promethazine/diamox
  • Make sure you're drinking adequate amount of water
  • Smoking, Drinking alcohol, or Exercise will make it worse
