Day 01: Arrival at Paro followed by Sightseeing.

On your arrival at the airport, our representatives would be ready to greet you and arrange for the transfer to the hotel. After taking a brief rest at the hotel and refreshing yourself, we would take you for the Palo sightseeing. A short trip to Paro would include Rinpung Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang, and Drugyal Dzong. Rinpung Dzong is the administrative office of Paro Dzongkhag while Kichu Lhakhang is the oldest temple of Bhutan. We would spend the night at the hotel in Paro.

Day 02: An adventurous hike followed by drive from Paro to Thimphu.

On the next day, we would leave early for an adventurous hike to the Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery. It would be an exhausting but enjoyable experience. In about 4- hours, you would find yourself at the monastery located at the altitude of 3180 m. It would not be a continuous hike as we would take a break to have lunch in the middle of the hike. It would be a unique lunch. After spending a couple of hours at the monastery, we would return to the valley floor by the evening. After returning to the hotel and taking a bit of rest, we would drive to the next destination of the tour, Thimphu. We would rest at Thimphu for the night.

Day 03: Sightseeing in Thimphu.

The next day awaits you for a memorable day where we would go sightseeing in Thimphu. Our first destination would be the Memorial Chorten dedicated to the third king of Bhutan (1952-1972). We would then visit the nunnery temple followed by a mini zoo. The special attraction of the zoo is Takin, the national animal of Bhutan. The other highlights of the trip to Thimphu include the folk heritage museum, the amazing Tashichho Dzong, and the traditional paper factory. If you are lucky to be here at the weekend, shopping at the weekend market would be a memorable experience. We would be resting overnight at the hotel in Thimphu..

Day 04: A drive from Thimphu to Punakha.

After a refreshing night at the hotel, we would leave the hotel early for a drive to Punakha. The distance from Thimphu to Punaka measures just about 75 km and it would be 3-4 hours of the ride. However, it would easily be one of the most special rides of your life as we would travel through Dochu La Pass at the altitude of 3100 m. We would stop at the top for a cup of tea and more importantly have a stunning view of the mountains and valleys from the top. We would travel further but downwards going through the lush green forests full of hemlock, fir, and rhododendron. We would take lunch at the end of our drive and then explore the second largest dzong in Bhutan, the Punakha Dzong. It was built around 1637-38 and stands intact for visitors to explore. We would spend the night at the Punakha.

Day 05: A drive from Punaka to Gangtey and then back to Punaka.

A long drive awaits you on the next morning where we would travel to Gangtey. A drive of more than 5 hours would take you to the beautiful village of Punaka. The 165 hours of the drive starts with the small but very special village of Wangduephodrang. It is popular for its stone carvings and slate art. We travel further through the middle of tall and dense forests full of rhododendrons and oaks. The Gangtey is unique because of its special location in the middle of the beautiful mountains. There is a lot to explore around the town with lovely Black mountains and the amazing Phobjikha valley. We would be visiting the Gangtey Monastery and spend some time in Phobjikha before driving back to Punaka.

Day 06: Punakha to Phuentsholing.

On the next day, we would travel to Phuentsholing covering a long way of about 234 km. The long drive of more than 7 hours goes through the waterfalls, valleys and waterfalls.

Great Trip We had a great time in Nepal thanks to Pradip and his team! From landing to take off we were thoroughly looked after. We were greeted at the airport and the same person helped us in Katmandu both sides of the trek, picking us up from our domestic flight and again taking us to the airport at the end. He was always early and received a sweet momento on arrival and departure. Due to weather we unfortunately had to make a last minute decision to change our route; Pradip and the guide See Wa were very accommodating and we easily changed from ACT to Poon Hill and ABC. He quickly sent us a new itinerary and we were picked up the following morning. We were given options as to how we wanted to get to Pokhara and Pradip made this seamless for us. Many trekkers also had to change their route to ABC rather than other routes like ACT and EBC which meant the tea houses were very busy. Our guide ensured that we always had a room to stay in and was flexible with our itinerary if we wanted to walk further/fit in a visit to the hot spring. At times it was a bit difficult to communicate with the guide due to the language barrier and we found we were fitter so would often be walking ahead with one of the porters but over all we had a good experience and would recommend.
