Day by Day Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On the next day, we would take you to some the most amazing world heritage sites in Kathmandu.
Day 02:
Kathmandu to Paro.
Early in the morning, we would take a flight from Kathmandu to Paro. After resting for couple of hours at the hotel and having lunch, we would take you to visit Paro Rimpung Dzong in Paro.
Day 03: Paro to Thimpu followed by sightseeing tour at Thimpu.
On the next morning, we would take a short drive from Paro to Thimpu. In Thampu, we would first take you to visit the National Memorial Chorten, National Library where you can explore the ancient manuscripts. Next we would take you to a couple of museums including Bhutan Folk Heritage Museum and Textile Museum. You would also get to shop for unique Bhutanese handicrafts at the Handicraft Emporium. In the evening, you could take a short casual walk to the streets of Thimpu. We would stay at the hotel overnight.
Day 04: Drive from Thimpu to Wangduephodrang.
The nest morning, we would drive you to the next destination of Wangduephodrang. It is a 3-4 hours of drive going through the Dochula Pass. The view of the Mt. Gangar Punsum is amazing from the top is amazing. You would love to visit the Wangduephodrang Dzong, located on top of the ridge between Dang Chu and Punak Tsang Chu. We would spend the night at a hotel in the Wangduephodrang.
Day 05:
Drive to Punakha followed by Sightseeing.
Start the next day with a refreshing breakfast and then take a short drive of about an hour to Punakha. At Punakha, we would be visiting the second largest and the oldest Dzong of Bhutan, the Punakha Dzong. It has a beautiful location in the middle of the rivers, Mo Chu and Pho Chu. We would take a walk along the beautiful landscapes and paddy fields to reach the ancient temple of Chimi Lhakhang. The temple is a wonderful chance to explore the religion and art in Bhutan in the best form. After spending a couple of hours at this amazing heritage site, we would drive back to the Paro in the evening. You would be spending the night at the hotel in Paro..
Day 06: Fly back to Kathmandu.
We are now coming to the end of the trip as we fly back to Kathmandu from Paro in the morning. Today will be another special day of the wonderful tour where we would take you to sightsee at the remaining world heritage sights in Kathmandu. There are so many world heritage sites in Kathmandu that it is impossible to cover them in a single day. You would also get a few hours to shop for the unique artifacts and souvenirs in the shopping markets of Kathmandu. Spend the night at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 07: Sightseeing to the Kathmandu Valley.
When you are in Kathmandu, you cannot afford to miss the sightseeing experience of the special Kathmandu Valley. It is such a special site that we have reserved a complete day for sightseeing at this wonderful location. We would give you ample of leisure time to explore the beauty of the Kathmandu Valley that will stay in your memories forever. Spend you last day of this wonderful tour at the Kathmandu hotel.
Day 08: Final departure. Drop to airport as per flight schedule.
On the next day, we would arrange for the transfer to the Kathmandu Airport at your preferred time according to the scheduled departure of your flight.

What is the best Time to Travel Bhutan ?
The most favorable time to travel Bhutan is during Autumn(September, October & November) and Spring(March, April & May). During these seasons the weather will be clear, flowers will bloom on the way, the charm of the atmosphere can be felt by the heart, you will get the chance to be involved in different festivals, hallucinating views of the Himalayas can be seen and including everything the trekking path will be easier and fun.
Is a Visa Required to trek Bhutan ?
Except the citizens of India, Bangladesh and Maldives all visitors will need a visa to visit Bhutan. Bhutan Trekking Permit is compulsory for all individual international tourists.
How long does it take to trek Bhutan Druk Yul ?
Bhutan Druk Yul trek is a journey of 8 days. This journey will start and end at Kathmandu. In between you will travel to Paro, Thimphu, Wangduephodrang and Punakha and various magnificent places . You will get a full day for sightseeing of some of the most amazing world heritage sites in Kathmandu before departure.
Why is Bhutan known as the land of Thunder Dragon ?
According to Tibetan and Bhutanese Mythology Durk means Thunder Dragon. They have acknowledged it as the Bhutanese National Symbol and included it on the national anthem, national emblem and national flag. In Dzongkha Bhutan is called Druk Yul "Kingdom of Druk" thus also known as Land of thunder Dragon.
What to wear in Bhutan ?
While on the Journey to Bhutan there are no restrictions on clothing but make sure it is comfortable and suits the environment. We recommend lightweight walking shoes, full sleeve light wool clothes, good sunglass, a hat and lastly a trekking jacket. If you are traveling Bhutan in winter we advise you to pack woolen clothes to keep yourself warm.
Note: You should try to avoid body revealing clothes as much as you can and make sure to do it while visiting cultural heritage.
