Gosaikunda Trek Route:
Officially regulated day to day itinerary of 16 days Langtang Valley with Gosainkunda Lake Trekking package trip with Adventure Mountain Nepal Trekking and Climbing Pvt. Ltd begins after spending a day in the capital city Kathmandu with a day guided sightseeing tour around world heritage sites of UNESCO. Leaving Kathmandu, we make a full day drive to Syabru Besi. We gradually head upwards to beautiful Langtang Valley through Tibetan culture influenced villages, amazing landscapes, and beautiful waterfalls and so on until we reach to the highest point of our trek at Tsergo Ri (4,984m). After complete exploration around Langtang Valley, we return the same trail back until at Lama Hotel to continue our trekking towards Gosainkunda Lake. Alpine fresh water lake Gosainkunda is located inside one of the nearest national park of Nepal at Langtang National Park with an altitude of 4,380 meters above from sea level. It is an origin place of Trishuli River (the river is very famous for the rafting adventure in Nepal) and the lake remains frozen during the entire winter season (October to June). There is total small to medium 108 lakes with its own value and importance. Gosainkunda Lake can be considered as a religious site since the Gosainkunda area has been delineated as a great religious site of HINDUS. Accordance with Hindu mythology, the place was a residence of Hindu God Shiva and Goddess Gauri. Some holy books Bhagavata Purana, Ramayana and Mahabharata mentions the Gosainkunda Lake was created by lord Shiva himself. During the time of a great Hindu Festivals Gangadashahara and Janai Purnima, thousands of Hindu devotees gather there to worship the gods.
