Climbing with EBC Trek adventure package trip with Adventure Mountain
Nepal Trekking and Climbing Pvt. Ltd begins after spending a day in the
capital city Kathmandu with a day guided sightseeing tour around world
heritage sites of UNESCO. Then we make a short picturesque flight to
Tenzing–Hillary Airport at Lukla which is an entrance of Khumbu &
Everest. From Lukla, we start our walking journey through gentle ascends
followed by few descends, crossing the bank of Dudh Koshi River, cross
many Mani walls, stone carvings and dense forests of Pine all the way to
Phakding and Namche Bazaar. The Namche Bazaar is known as a kingdom of
Sherpas. Namche Bazaar is a perfect place to spend another night by
making a day hike to Syangboche view point at 3,780m/12,398ft as an
acclimatization day from where we can have tantalizing views of Mt.
Everest (8,848m/2,9021ft), Mt. Lhotse (8,516m/27,932ft), Mt. Nuptse
(7,861m/25,784ft), Mt. Thamserku (6,623m/21,723ft), Mt. Amadablam
(6,812m/22,343ft) and other snow-capped peaks.
After Namche Bazaar, we continue the trek continuously following the
main trail of Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar via Tengboche,
Dingboche, Lobuche and Gorakshep. Along the trail we can have a great
chance to explore rich Buddhist culture and tradition practiced in
Sherpa community. EBC and Kala Patthar both are equally important to spy
close view of world’s highest mountain ranges, we can have splendid
views major four high mountains above 8,000m (Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse,
Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu) and many other snow-capped peaks from Kala
Patthar. After having a wonderful time at Everest Base Camp & Kala
Patthar, we trek back via same trail until at Dingboche. After there,
the trail goes straight forward towards Island Peak Base Camp at 5,087
meters via beautiful Chhukung valley. From Base camp, we need to begin
the steep ascend, start a day in around 2-3 AM early in the morning.
There is not challenging and difficult section until around 5,600
meters, after there we need to follow rocky steeps and canyon. When we
reach at the top of the gorge, we begin to walk across steep snow and
ice slope where our experience guide will set up the fixed ropes for
around 100 meters until the summit. The climb is difficult because of
steep ascends. Thus we can also set up high camp at 5,600 meters to
reduce long day efforts to summit the Island Peak in a single day. After
having a short and special time at the summit ridge of Island Peak, we
safely retrace our steeps to Island Peak Base camp and return Lukla via
the same trail after gaining a wonderful memory of Island Peak Climbing
with EBC Trek.
