EBC Cho La Pass Gokyo Trek is one of the popular adventure treks in Nepal. It lies in the Everest region of Nepal. The trek is practically similar to the general route of Everest Base Camp. But it provides additional adventure through exploring beautiful Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Lake, amazing viewpoint Gokyo Ri, and Cho La Pass. Ltd begins after spending a day in the capital city Kathmandu with a day guided sightseeing tour around world heritage sites of UNESCO. Then we make a short picturesque flight to Tenzing–Hillary Airport at Lukla which is an entrance of Khumbu & Everest. From Lukla, we start our walking journey through gentle ascends followed by few descends, crossing the bank of Dudh Koshi River, cross many mani walls, stone carvings and dense forests of Pine all the way to Phakding and Namche Bazaar. The Namche Bazaar is also known as a kingdom of Sherpas. Namche Bazaar is a perfect place to spend another night by making a day hike to Syangboche view point at 3,780m/12,398ft.
While continuing our trail which splits out from the main trail of EBC, towards Khumjung, Dole and Machhermo with an excellent views of Thamserku, Kantenga, Amadablam, Cho Oyu and other peaks, passing through rhododendron & birch forests, scrub juniper & small bushes, grazing flat lands etc. Again while following the trail towards Gokyo Lake and Gokyo Ri inside the beautiful Gokyo valley, we explore one of the largest Ngozumpa Glacier. After having a quality time inside Gokyo valley, our journey follows straight forward towards Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar via the crossing of major places; Thangna at 4,650 meters, Cho La Pass at 5,420 meters, Dzongla at 4,843 meters before reaching at Gorakshep. Gorakshep is a highest and last place with availability of the tea house lodge from where we separately make sunset tour to Everest Base Camp and Sunrise tour to Kalapatthar. EBC and Kalapatthar both are equally important to spy close view of world’s highest mountain ranges.
